The answer is yes....
for a start, the environmental benefits are immense. If you choose to drive an electric car rather than a petrol car for just one year, you will save on average 1.5 million grams of CO2. It has even been stated that in London, road transport makes up 50% of all pollution, which is why it should come as no surprise that EV can make such a major difference to the environment. Even with the energy costly manufacturing process (due to the necessary production of lithium batteries) EV still comes out on top when they hit the road thanks to the years of driving it provides with no further emissions
Now how about the cost and the experience?
When it comes to pricing, the up front cost can often be higher with EV however there are plenty of tax credits and incentives offered by the government that make it the cheaper choice all together. Not to mention the need to refuel at a petrol station is completely negated, saving you both time, effort, and a whole lot of money. Also saving you time and money, EV's need less work done to them as factors such as oil changes and fuel filter replacements are out of the equation. As for the overall driving experience, electric cars are more efficient than their petrol powered counterparts and give you faster acceleration and better mileage.
